Mercedes-Benz USA LLC is recalling 61,000 models of C-Class sport sedans because of problems involving the drivers side air bag. The irregularities were discovered during government testing.
The recall affects the 2005-2006 model years of C-Class sport sedans. The vehicles will have new drivers side air bag modules installed as part of the recall.
Mercedes-Benz said it did not think the irregularity, which was not specified, was a risk in real-world driving situations, only in the test setting.
