Cadillac SRX and STS Recall

April 25, 2006
Federal regulators are ordering the recall of 23,077 Cadillac SRX and STS sedans from the 2005 model year because the rear suspension can fail.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the left or right toe link on the car may separate because of an incorrect weld. Separation of the toe link could cause a rear wheel to turn out affecting vehicle control and causing a crash.

Cadillac dealers will inspect the toe links and replace them as required. If a link is replaced, the dealer will also perform a wheel alignment free of charge.

The Cadillac recall begins in May.
