Childrens butterfly necklaces distributed by GeoCentral are being recalled.The metal clasp on the necklace contains high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

The recalled necklaces consist of a multi-colored butterfly pendant on a multi-colored seed bead 16-inch necklace. The products packaging includes a white hang card with GeoJewelry printed on the front underneath GeoCentral.
The items were sold at souvenir and gift stores nationwide from January 2006 through May 2007 for about $2.
Consumers should immediately take the recalled jewelry away from children and return them to store where purchased for a full refund or contact GeoCentral for information on how to obtain a full refund.
