Halogen Table Lamps Sold at Lowe's

June 21, 2005
About 97,000 halogen table lamps sold at Lowe's stores are being recalled. The lamps can short circuit, posing a fire hazard.

The importer, L G Sourcing, has received one report of a minor fire with the halogen table lamp. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled table lamps have a plastic base and two extendable arms connecting the base to a halogen lamp. The lamps were sold in white, red, blue, orange and purple. Item number 101988 is printed on the bottom of the lamp base.

The lamps were sold exclusively at Lowe's retail outlets nationwide from April 2006 through March 2007 for about $10.

Consumers should stop using the lamps immediately and return them to any Lowe's retail outlet to receive a full refund.
