AAFES Recalls 'Soldier Bear' Toys

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) is recalling about 11,000 'Soldier Bear' toys. The surface paint on the toys contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

This recall involves the following wooden toys and a plastic military vehicle toy playset. The style number, UPC codes and 'Soldier Bear' logo are printed on the toy's packaging.

The toys were sold at AAFES stores worldwide from August 2006 through October 2007 for between $5 and $20. They were made in China.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from children and return them to the nearest AAFES store for a full refund.
