Earth Friendly Recalls Wooden Toys

October 30, 2008
Earth Friendly LLC is recalling about 1,000 wooden toys. Small parts can detach and break off the toys, posing a choking hazard to young children. In addition, the size of the rattle handle violates voluntary rattle standards.

This recall involves three models of wooden toys. Moee the car, Cubby the stackable bear and the Bell rattle. The toys are painted in glossy red, orange, green, red, black and yellow.

Toy specialty stores in Alaska, California, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington sold the toys from April 2008 through September 2008 for between $12 and $22. They were made in India.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from children and contact Earth Friendly to exchange or refund the product.

Consumer Contact: For additional information, contact Earth Friendly toll-free at (888) 360-6292 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday. Consumers can also visit the firm's Web site at www.earthfriendlyllc.com/recall.

The recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
