Chrysler is recalling about 17,000 2009 Dodge Journeys without the optional 115-volt auxilary power outlet. An unused connector for the auxilary power could become corroded and cause a short circuit.
If the fuse for the affected circuit fails to blow, the connector could overheat and catch fire.
Dealers will reroute the wiring and pull the fuse to remove power from the unused circuit.
