About 362,000 Nissan Muranos from the 2003-2007 model years are being recalled because of a problem with the intake air ducts. The docts may separate from the resonator in the air intake system because of premature aging of the material used in the ducts.
A separation could cause the engine to stall.
Dealers will inspect and replace the appropriate components when the recall begins on or before July 6, 2009.
Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
Consumers may contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY: 1-800-424-9153) or at www.safercar.gov.
