General Motors is recalling some 2009-2010 Pontiac Vibes equipped with a 1.8-liter engine and sold or registered in the following states:
ALASKA, COLORADO, IDAHO, ILLINOIS IOWA, KANSAS, MAINE, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, MONTANA, NEBRASKA, NEVADA, NEW HAMPSHIRE, NEW YORK, NORTH DAKOTA, SOUTH DAKOTA, VERMONT, WISCONSIN, AND WYOMING.
The company said that under certain cold-weather conditions, the intake manifold suction port for the brake vacuum can become locked due to frozen condensation./ This could lead to increased vehicle stopping distance.
Dealers will modify the brake vacuum line free of charge when the recall begins on or around October 23, 2009. Special coverage for vehicles registered in other states will also be available.
