Arlotta Mattress Pads Recalled

Chris Arlotta Enterprises is recalling about 2,900 mattress paids which fail to meet the federal mandatory standard for flammability under the Flammable Fabrics Act. They pose a serious risk of burn injury or death to consumers if exposed to smoldering or burning cigarettes.

The recalled mattress pads are natural colored, made of 100 percent cotton Chenille, and were sold in twin, full, queen, king and California king. The Web and catalog retailers and the mattress pads model numbers, listed below, are identified on the packaging:

The pads were sold by Web and catalog retailers (listed above) nationwide from December 2003 through March 2004 for between $50 and $100.

Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact Chris Arlotta Enterprises Ltd. or the retailer for information on how to obtain a refund plus cost of shipping.
